We’re back with another exciting Interclub. The Iron Sharpen Iron Interclub is your chance to test your skills in a controlled, friendly environment. Our July Interclub gives fighters the unique opportunity to compete in Boxing, MMA, Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu all on the same day.
The day will be filled with exciting match-ups and non-stop action. Our two mat spaces will run consecutively as we charge through the dozens of scheduled fights.
Please send your team list ahead of time. We will match up where possible. Any teams’ fighters not matched will be notified before the event!
Weigh-Ins: 9.30am
Event Start: 10am
Rules:
All competitors must be 14+
Muay Thai/Boxing:
- Adults (16+) Bouts: 1.5 minutes x 3 – 30 Second Rest
- All strikes are legal in adult bouts, for boxing, Muay Thai, and Kickboxing.
- Kids (7-15) Bouts: 1 minute x 3 – 30 Second Rest
- No headshots allowed in kids’ bouts – unless agreed upon beforehand. All other strikes legal.
- Head Gear is ESSENTIAL for kids bouts with headshots.
MMA:
- Adults (16+) Bouts: 2 minutes x 3 rounds – 40 Second Rest
- Full MMA Rules. Controlled Ground & Pound is allowed. No leg locks.
- Kids (7-15) Bouts: 1 minute x 3 rounds – 40 Second Rest
- No head shots in Kids MMA bouts.
ALL BOUTS ARE CONTROLLED CONTACT
No-Gi BJJ:
- No-Gi BJJ is open to white belts and blue belts only.
- All events are conducted under IBJJF rules. You can learn more HERE.
- Winners will be decided using the IBJJF point system.
- Matches are 5-6 minutes – depending on experience

About Ultimate Athlete Mixed Martial Arts:
We started in October 2014 and have now updated our venue to facilitate your complete training to become an ultimate athlete. Our new venue is fully equipped with 2 dedicated training areas, Mat 1 is 70ft long and hosts a 14ft fully functional Cage wall and a 16ft octagonal MMA cage, a variety of bags and pull-up/muscle bar, we also have various fitness equipment to help your conditioning!
At Ultimate Athlete, we offer many different fighting styles. We specialize in MMA which is a full-contact combat sport that allows a wide variety of fighting techniques, from a mixture of martial arts infused together in one exciting class but we also run dedicated classes in Muay Thai kickboxing the art of 8 limbs, Freestyle Wrestling the oldest sport known to man, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (Gi and No gi) how to fold someone neatly and of course the original sport of Pugilism, Boxing, these classes are available for Adults and children age 7+.
