The AFK-SUPERLEAGE, South Yorkshire’s biggest martial arts/combat sports extravaganza, is back and bigger than ever. The event showcases local Kickboxing, K-1, Muay Thai and MMA at its best.

We are hosting an exciting K1 tournament, the AFK-SUPERLEAGUE FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIPS 2, which is open to all amateurs in Sheffield and the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for new fighters who are just starting out to get some K1 experience.

No previous experience is required – our tournaments are a great way to introduce yourself to K-1 competitions.

Rules:

The AFK-SUPERLEAGE FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIP fights under K-1 rules. Full information will be given on the day but here are the general rules:

• K-1 kickboxing permits the use of punches, kicks, and knees to the legs, body, and head.
  • All other strikes, including but not limited to elbows, groin strikes, headbutts, strikes to the throat, throws/submissions are not permitted.
  • Opponents kicks can be caught, but only a single strike while holding the leg is permitted.
• Clinching is only permitted when a fighter is actively attacking from within the clinch, otherwise it will be separated.
• Each match is fought over 3 x 3-minute rounds.
• All fighters must wear regulated gloves, shin guards, and gumshield.
