BST Academy are back with our third Interclub with Optimal Combat. Just like the first two, our September event gives competitors the exciting opportunity to compete across multiple disciplines. With a large mat space, elevated MMA cage, and full sized boxing ring, competitors can compete in MMA, Muay Thai, Boxing, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
The atmosphere is always electric at our Interclubs, as our spectator’s area is always packed with friends and family. Embrace the cheers of the crowd as you gain invaluable experience in your chosen discipline(s).
Fighters must be aged 14 or older to compete.
16oz gloves for the stand up and 7oz for the MMA. Groin guards and mouth guards must be worn. You cannot fight without them.
BST have changing rooms, lockers and showers for you to use. We will have refreshments but there is also a Sainsbury’s, Boots, Costa and Marks and Spencers within walking distance.
Weigh ins: 10:30am
Fights start: 12pm
There are some road closures on Sunday due to a race in Northampton so please bear this in mind.
Tickets:
The BST Academy Interclub is a multi-discipline interclub, allowing competitors to compete in up to two different disciplines on the day with the first fights at 12 midday. Please select the correct ticket type, depending on whether you are competing in one or two disciplines.
If you do not complete the payment process via apple pay or card, your fighting details will not be saved on the system. You will have to give your details again once you get to the Interclub and may not be matched as closely.
(Please ensure all information entered is accurate. BST Academy reserves the right to refuse entry if your information is false. You cannot change disciplines on the day.)
Fight for free:
We will be running a raffle where one fighter will have the chance to fight for free. All you have to do is follow Optimal Combat on Instagram and like our Facebook page for a chance to win.
The winner will be chosen on the day and have their ticket refunded. The winner must have already purchased a ticket and be following us on socials to be eligible. If they are not, another fighter will be chosen.
About BST Academy:
It all started with keen martial artists wanting to offer a wider range of styles at affordable prices, allowing all walks of life, age and cultural background to have the chance to learn and achieve in martial arts.
We aim to promote Martial Arts to the younger community too with 8 Junior systems, looking out for natural talents. BST financially backs these students giving them the best chance to get them to the highest level possible. We have also trained them to become coaches. We also make our martial arts classes open to people with disabilities and boost one of the best MMA fighters with cerebral palsy in the country.
BST Academy has already had much success with a number of MMA fighters being contracted with some of the largest promotions in the world. The fighters not only have great martial arts training but the facilities too at BST MMA Gym. For after training, there is a sauna and steam room with hot and cold showers all to help with weight cutting when the fighters are getting ready to fight.
Our MMA gym is run by 12 coaches, some being World Champions and there after producing World Champions. But, we are not here only for the already talented or competitive, we are here for the general public no matter of age, ability or cultural background. We are a place for building better health, better confidence and expanding new social aspects to your life!
